Late Night Date

While I'm not fond of our frequent late night dates (its after midnight as I post this), I would not trade this time for anything! We paused our late night conversation for a quick photo opportunity.

Note: I've typed and deleted this post several times. Apparently I do not have the words to express how I feel about our newest addition. I am constantly amazed at the human life and how it is created. I am also amazed at my ability to love each of my children as fiercely as I do.

Such a jumble of emotions on the eve of the birth of our third child.

Nervous. Anxious. Excited. Exhausted. Happy. Sad. Selfish.

As I tickle the foot that is trying to poke its way out of my belly, I am reminded that I enjoy this part of pregnancy. I like being selfish and being the only one who can feel the miracle that is having a life inside. Don't get me wrong, I do wish that Greg could share this feeling as well.

So I will enjoy my last evening of ever being pregnant and relish these feelings, whatever they may be.

Last Weekend

This is our last weekend as a family of four! We took advantage of one of the local attractions, Meijer Gardens, and the dreary weather to take some beautiful pictures of our little loves. I've been very possessive of our time with just the two kids and trying to lay low. My ankles and face are certainly not very good proof...they are all very swollen.

As you can see from our Countdown to the right, we are a mere 4 days from meeting our newest little guy. I cannot wait to cuddle and snuggle our little love and have my body back!

Everyone always says how special it is to be the Mommy of a little boy...and they are so right! Perhaps I'm biased, but Colin is one special little boy! It is so much more fun to be the Mommy of a little boy than I could have ever imagined.

Of course, a snuggle to the neck, a tight squeeze, and the whisper of "I wuv you dis much Mommy" doesn't hurt!

We took a trip to the zoo during the holiday weekend. I purchased a membership a month or so ago, and it was one of the better investments I've made in a while. We love to just go and let the kids run free!
