It's Not Funny!

Being a parent is hard for hundreds of reasons, but I think one of the hardest reasons is because you are reliving certain things from your own childhood. Watching my children grow and experience life brings certain situations bubbling back to the surface.

I am thankful that Kelsey has mastered the art of cutting with scissors and can cut a circle before going to Kindergarten. I can remember being called out in kindergarten for not being able to cut a circle.

Watching Colin grow, at least at this point, is the most difficult for me to sit back and watch. He is easily frustrated and is quick to lose his cool. And when he loses it and people around him notice (and laugh), he will go past the point of no return and yell, "IT'S NOT FUNNY!"

It breaks my heart because I can remember being the little person being laughed at for losing my cool. I am still reminded of how I used to throw these fits any where and every where. It still hurts a bit to be reminded of these things.

Everybody knows
It sucks to grow up
And everybody does
It's so weird to be back here.
Let me tell you what
The years go on and
We're still fighting it, we're still fighting it
You'll try and try and one day you'll fly
Away from me

Keep Moving

Life is like riding a bicycle...

To keep your balance,
you must keep moving.

Colin's Day!

After a very long 2 and a half days of being in labor, we finally met our little Colin Everett 3 years ago today! I have such a soft spot in my heart for this little boy. He is so sweet and loving, but also very intense and easily frustrated! My little ball of fire!

I love you Little Dude!

Big Sister has always had quite the soft spot in her heart for her baby brothers - loving on Colin from the moment she met him!

True love right from the beginning!

So handsome!
