The Kids...
Continue to be little rays of sunshine in our lives! Even though they are both battling colds and an ear infection (Kelsey), we still find joy. Colin has decided in the last few months to quit being a champion sleeper. I guess this is to be expected when you are cutting two more teeth and are busy standing around, flexing your leg muscles and figuring out how to put it all together for walking. I will bet $1 that my little Squishy will be walking sometime in the month of April! Kelsey is the biggest fountain of information in a tiny little package. This morning she told me, "Momma, I can push heavy things on an inclined plane." I asked her if she knew what an inclined plane was and she told me I could find one at the playground...a slide! She blows me away on a daily basis!
While on the subject of Greg and I's little creations, I have a funny story to share. While I am driving, I have a constant back seat driver with me...Kelsey! She likes to tell me to stop at stop lights and then tells me, "Momma, the light is green, GO!" Anyhow, we were leaving the house the other day and I hear the little voice in the backseat say, "Mommy, be careful...and don't hit any crock pots!" I had to hold back the giggle and ask her to repeat herself. "Watch out for the crockpots in the road. I don't want you to hit them with our family car. Actually...our car can fly over them...but be careful!" When I asked her what she meant, she finally got it straight, that she meant pot holes!
Us...
Other than being extremely tired of winter life in Michigan, our family is doing well. Greg has been trying to maintain some sort of activity through the winter and is playing some sort of floor ball game (originates from Sweden) and is enjoying himself. He is going to play softball and golf again this spring/summer/fall. Wonder what sort of activity I should pick up?
I have been using what little free time I have to knit. Here is my latest project, two socks on one needle!
I dyed the yarn myself. Its okay...I think the piece of fabric to the left of my socks (called a sock blank) is ugly! But I am in love with how it is knitting up! Must hurry up and finish these so I can move onto other things.
In other Renee-related news, I am about 14 pounds away from being my pre-pregnancy weight. I started Weight Watchers, again, September 1 and am down about 33 pounds since then. I have about 14 pounds left. I figure it took me 9 months to put it in, so 9 months to take it off...right? I am shooting to be there by April 18th when Little Man will be 9 months old.
Motivational quote for now...
"You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be."
